Somehow I have problems with my RX5700XT. I like to play VR games like Halflife Alyx but every time I start the game my whole PC starts to stutter and nothing works until I somehow close the game. The task manager doesn't tell me what the problem is, none of the parts in my PC were at 100% load while the game was running or at startup. The rest of my configuration looks like this: Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB 3600mhz gSkill Tritend Z AMD Edition, AsRock x570 Extreme4 and of course my RX 5700XT. The PC was only assembled and set up a few days ago and the graphics card was not recognised correctly during the Windows installation.

Now to my question: Can it be due to a hardware defect and can/should I exchange the card for a new one? Personally, I would prefer to keep the card and solve a possible software problem instead of replacing it.

have you installed all the latest program drivers, including a bios update?
when i put my pc together half a year ago, i only found out afterwards that i had to do a bios update. since then, my graphics card has been purring like it should.

if this is not the case, it is due to amd adrenalin 2020 because a few days ago a new version was available for download and there are sometimes problems with some. but with me it runs. hope it helps.
