There seems (seemed?) to be considerable security problems with TP-Link routers, keyword "Horse shell": https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/hackers-infect-tp-link-router-firmware-to-attack-eu-entities/ I wonder if anything has changed. The basic problem probably remains the proximity/influence of China.

For my use it works very well, music, TV, video calls, etc.
My PCs have extra protection, and apart from being connected to the network only temporarily, I don't keep sensitive data.
