Would this product work to transfer a 2TB NAS HDD to an 8TB? Would it create a 2TB partition or can I use the full 8TB after cloning? Are there other products that would be better suited for my project?

This is exactly how it should work. The new HD or the target drive must be at least the same size as the source. In my case, everything was in one partition. I don't know any other products.
