The ergonomic triangular shape ensures fatigue-free writing. The coating is done with environmentally friendly water-based lacquer, a technology that Faber-Castell was the first manufacturer to introduce. The lead is fully glued to the wooden casing, making it particularly break-resistant. The GRIP 2001 pencil is available in 5 different degrees of hardness.
