Emil is in his room and feels like doing nothing. Until a strange, enormous figure visits him, introducing itself as Long Wait. As Very Long Wait. Emil isn't quite sure what to do with it. It doesn't want to play with him. It hasn't come to read to him. It certainly can't make up stories. But Emil can teach it how to do that and gets started right away. The Wait is horrified. Emil should stop. But he enjoys his own story and has no intention of doing so.
