Sometimes it only takes a minute to save or destroy a life.

Nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize 2020. Will is determined to shoot his brother's murderer. He steps into the elevator, the gun tucked in his waistband. He has no idea that the ride to the ground floor will change his life. He thinks about people from his past and what he experienced with them. These are memories and stories filled with violence, hatred, powerlessness, and revenge. All these people are dead. And Will must ask himself what this means for his life. When he arrives on the ground floor, he is no longer sure if he will actually avenge his brother because the rules dictate it. Or can he break the cycle of violence?.
