Heku Be Green

Our Be Green products are made from various renewable raw materials such as wood, corn, and sugarcane. Wood is the most important and commonly used renewable resource overall, primarily serving in this product category for the production of virgin fiberboard for paper plates and bowls, as well as pulp for napkins.

Corn serves as the basis for starch production as a renewable raw material. Starch is converted into lactic acid through chemical processes, from which compostable bioplastics like PLA or heat-resistant C-PLA are derived.

Sugarcane is the world's most significant sugar plant. During the extraction of sugar juice by pressing the sugarcane plant, which regrows multiple times a year, the resulting byproduct (bagasse), which was often burned in the past, is used to manufacture our plates and bowls. Products made from sugarcane are lightweight yet very sturdy. These bowls are microwave-safe, waterproof up to 100 degrees, and fat-resistant up to 120 degrees.
