Pure Siesta Rise
Pure Siesta Rise
Have had a few clock radios over the years. This one covers my needs completely. Especially nice is the gentle volume increase when waking up. So you don't fall right out of bed when the radio comes on.

The Pure "Siesta Rise" is a really great device, if an alarm clock can be that at all ;-)
The white plastic casing with the mottled fabric cover makes a very high-quality impression. The size is well chosen for use as an alarm clock at home.
Further evaluation points:
+ Pin-sharp, large, greyish/white display on a black background.
+ The most important functions are available via direct keys
+ Automatic dimming, in the dark really only very dimly illuminated
(separate settings, also manual, for operation and standby)
+ Separate buttons for 3 independent alarm times (independently adjustable for each alarm time:
Sound/ DAB/ FM and once/ weekdays/ weekends/ daily).
+ Good sound for the size of the unit
+ Snooze time adjustable in a wide range
+ Cancel alarm via any button on the back row
+ Sleep timer for fall asleep music and kitchen timer for a nap
+ Mobile phone charging socket available
- Somewhat expensive
- A small indicator in the display with the next activated alarm time would be quite useful
- Only one wire antenna, although some see this as an advantage
I was able to get hold of the Siesta for 95.-. For the design and the really super simple operation with even 3 alarm times is quite OK. For today's price of 150.- I would not buy it. Even at 95.- there is star deduction because
- The antenna cable must be positioned somewhere high, so that all DAB stations are received (other alarm clocks and the micro hi-fi systems do not need that), moreover, I would prefer a metal antenna.
- The sound is acceptable, but the Phillips DAB could do better, even Bluetooth speakers in the same size are better
- the automatic lighting does not work -> bright room, lighting dark... but you can adjust it very well manually (plus point !!)
- The gag I may get over, but you scratch your head: the menu to change the settings can only be opened when the radio (with music) is on (... without words...)

The alarm clock is me in the night now already crashed three times, remains on the time and can only be revived if you take it completely off the mains. Already missed two appointments in the morning. This is a no go!
Too bad actually, is ansich a good product ...
(via google you can already find some entries on the subject. Pure customer service writes on my request. The problem is not known to us. I should try it with a hard reset)

very nice and pretty clock radio!
However, I think it's a shame that the snooze button (which resets the alarm by X minutes) is so close to the button that cancels the alarm completely.
