Can it be used as a lamp? For reading for example

It is not possible to direct the light, but yes, at maximum brightness it can be used as a lamp and is suitable for reading if not placed too far away (suitable for reading in bed if placed on the bedside table).

Depending on where the device is placed, yes. The light is quite powerful. It is still less pleasant than a bedside lamp.
