I am interested in this alarm clock, but unfortunately the only place I can put it is at the foot of my bed. I wonder if the alarm clock would be effective in this location.

Yes you can put it at the foot of the bed but it is not practical to turn it off.
I would also like to inform you that the digital clock is always illuminated. If the alarm clock is turned towards you, won't it bother you when you sleep? I am very satisfied with this purchase, it wakes me up very gently.
