Question about Petkit Pura Max 2
Could it be that this litter tray only works with Wi-Fi and an app? The cats have done their business, but nothing happens even after half an hour... Manual clean doesn't work either, the display just says I should connect the app... To be honest, I don't want this thing on my network and I don't understand why a litter tray needs an app... How do I switch the thing to offline mode?

With the Petkit Pura Max 2, the app connection is actually mandatory. Without a connection to the app, neither the cleaning cycles can be started nor the manual clean button used.
Unfortunately, there is no real offline mode. The app is required for the initial set-up and saving the configuration. Only then do certain basic functions such as automatic cleaning after use run, but only once the device has been set up via the app.
If you don't want to permanently integrate the litter tray into your home network, you can set it up via a smartphone hotspot and then deactivate the Wi-Fi again. Alternatively, you can also set up a separate guest network just for the device.
