- Optimum operation: The automatic cleaning system and odour control work best in a closed, air-conditioned environment.
- Safety and hygiene: Placing the litter tray outdoors could expose it to dirt, dust and other external agents that could compromise the hygiene and functionality of the product.

As far as compatibility with a Maine Coon is concerned, the Pura Max 2 is not ideal for large cats. Even if your cat weighs less than 8 kg, this model is generally recommended for medium-sized cats and is not always suitable for larger breeds such as the Maine Coon due to tracking and comfort issues.
