The Roborock S6 is worlds better than iRobot in every way thus its a no brainer. Besides saving lots of money you will own a reliable robot that will clean your house every single day without any complaints. My Roborock is set to daily clean since over a year and has never failed once. Cheers

S6 no longer available in black?

If not, I would take the S6 MaxV, it is very good and also recognises objects with the integrated camera and drives around them, the S6 MaxV is only available in black. But it is quite a bit more expensive. Alternatively, this Xiaomi robot might be something, it also has a 3D system for recognising objects: Xiaomi Mi Robot Mop 2 Pro+

Have you replaced the filter with a completely new one? Because that was the error with me. I had two filters that I cleaned and replaced over and over again and yet at some point this error occurred with both filters, since I have a brand new one the error has not occurred again.

Hello I have not measured it yet either I let it drive in other rooms in between or I do something in the flat but it also disturbs me when I'm watching TV. It's best to let it drive when you're not at home and you can always see where it is on the app.

Hello, we have a 3.5 cm high landing in one of the rooms, our Roborock S6 does not manage this landing, or for it this is a natural barrier (which in our case is perfect for this room). Generally, the Roborock doesn't like height differences too much, we have partly laid different floors (room - corridor) with slightly different heights, so it sometimes struggles a bit. With a ramp or something similar I could imagine that it could work. Greetings, Fredy

The app can be installed on as many devices as desired. It is downloaded from Google play on Android phones, for example. Then you make a user account in the app, with which you can then also log in everywhere. It is important that you log in with the same user, then it is "synchronous".

With a hotspot, you are playing WiFi, only mobile. Theoretically, it should work, but I wouldn't recommend it. On the one hand, there are enough reasons to get a stable wifi router and on the other hand, you can only access the functions of the Roboroc with a constant network. For example, starting a cleaning process on holiday or your cleaning routines. So you can try it, but the advantages of a home network outweigh the disadvantages (smart tvs, lights, cleaning robots, stable network, enough ports, stability and so on).

Have you checked the sensors for dirt? The side sensor seems to be an infrared sensor. If it is dirty (dust but especially grease stains from hands), it may get unwanted reflections. This means that it may interpret too many obstacles (similar to a closed door) and stop cleaning. I noticed this at least once with the predecessor model, the S5. After the sensor was free of grease and dust, cleaning worked again.

It is supposed to be available in Germany and the USA from the end of June 2020. The question is whether this date can be met thanks to Covid-19... I think it will also be available in Germany at the end of July, if everything goes well.

No, the Roborock S6 needs a WLAN and an internet connection. The vacuum cleaner is controlled entirely via an app. This then talks to Roborock's server, which then talks to the S6. When your household goes offline, the Roborock returns to the charging station and charges, but does not continue cleaning.

I cannot confirm this (on Android). My S6 with firmware 01.10.48 runs without any problems. The only thing I noticed was that I had to log in to the app again after I received an update for it a few weeks ago. For me, your error description rather fits app problems (permissions etc.) or a WLAN problem (my Roborock was very "picky" about SSID/password).

I don't have this problem - but have you ever tried resetting the robot? So reset to factory settings and then restart the whole setup. To do this, press the two buttons "Home" and "Partial cleaning" together and wait until the voice confirms the reset. Then reinitialise the connection with the app, etc. https://www.gearbest.com/blog...
