Our Kilner fermentation set allows gases and pressure to escape from the jar without letting oxygen in. This keeps the jar sterile, preventing germs from entering and ensuring the vegetables stay fresh. Fermenting is quite simple; you just need to add water and salt. And of course, the vegetables. The vegetables are sliced thin, mixed with salt, and then the liquid is pressed out.
