Do i need to adjust my recipes to account for all the toxic PFAS released into the food when I cook with these?
Your question is somewhat suggestive. Tefal claims that its coating is made of PTFE and does not contain PFOA. I cannot judge whether this is true. The food inspectors are responsible for this.
In my opinion, these are the best coated pans for cooking that I have ever owned. Don't heat the pans too high and wash them out with a little washing-up liquid after each use. I use wooden or plastic ladles when cooking. If you want to be on the safe side, you need to buy pans that are only made of iron. However, these are only ready for use after a complex baking process and then have similar properties to the coated pans.
We probably already have quite high levels of PFAS in the food itself, so ultimately the producers are responsible for the quality of our food.
