It has to have absolutely perfect WiFi reception, otherwise it gets lost, forgets its task and just drives back and forth until the battery is empty. It's a really, really big thing, I've been on the verge of throwing it out of the window a few times. To save my nerf, I usually just quickly vacuum again myself, which also saves time.

I certainly haven't tried everything with it yet, but the appliance can be started manually by pressing the button on the appliance even if there is no WLAN connection. The appliance cleans perfectly even then. I can't say whether time control is possible without Wi-Fi, I haven't tried that. If the WLAN is active, the timed control works perfectly.
