Question about Philips Avance Collection HD9359/94

I have bought this product very recently and even though I boiled water several times. I tried boiling water with vinegar and baking soda as well, but the weird taste and smell do not go off. It is a very expensive kettle and I was not expecting to experience this. Could I return it? or what should I do to remove the weird smell and taste?

If it's the same case as me, after washing/boiling several times, the smell was coming exclusively plastic side of the lid, which is a bit trickier to clean. After soaking it a bit upside down and cleaning it, it got rid of the smell.
