I want to sew buttonholes in a baby jacket, but the buttonhole foot only feeds on a simple piece of fabric. As soon as I put the jacket made of a soft cotton wale fabric with a jersey lining underneath, I have difficulties placing it because the foot hangs too low. When sewing, everything hangs in place. The transport doesn't seem to be able to cope with the thicker fabric. Two layers of fabric are not unusual. Can I adjust the settings somehow? Thanks for your help!
It may help to adjust the presser foot pressure.
The presser foot pressure is set to normal. For sewing
extreme materials, the presser foot pressure can be adjusted
(thin or thick fabrics).
To adjust, turn the adjusting screw for presser foot pressure using a coin.
with a coin.
For thin fabrics, turn the adjusting screw anti-clockwise and

for thick fabrics. See page 5 of the operating instructions.
And possibly read pages 20 and 21 of the operating instructions. Perhaps something else has been overlooked.
