Neodymium moon and skyglow filter with integrated IR blocker and PG coating. The best visual and photographic filter for enhancing contrast for all telescopes, without loss of image brightness. The effect of neodymium as a filter material is very impressive. When added to optical glass, it enhances contrasts, increases the red color component in images (especially with Mars and Jupiter), and simultaneously darkens the spectral range that suffers most under streetlight, which is primarily responsible for night skyglow. Planoptically polished and multi-coated; can be used as a standalone filter in front of binoculars or for afocal projection with digital cameras (well before the focal point) without any loss of sharpness. When used with DSLR cameras, stars are rendered significantly sharper because the IR spectral range is blocked.
