A brilliant invention: a sight and a finder in one device! Without optical magnification, the Starpointer allows for quick targeting of celestial objects with both eyes. An artificial star, created by a red LED, is projected into the field of view via a mirror. This greatly facilitates the locating of objects. The brightness can be adjusted over a wide range. The Starpointer also serves as a good complement to standard optical finders. A 3-volt battery is required for power. The Starpointer comes with two adapters that allow it to be fitted to common Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes.
