The new Race Face Era Chainring combines the advantages of a lightweight aluminum chainring with the durability of a heavy steel chainring. A chainring that meets the demands of weight efficiency and longevity requires a departure from typical chainring construction: for the Era, the ideal material is selected for each of the three parts of the chainring. The CINCH interface, responsible for transferring power from the crank to the chainring, is made of aluminum. The spider, into which the CINCH adapter and the chainring teeth are integrated, is made from high-quality carbon. The chainring teeth are made from stainless steel and last more than five times longer than conventional chainrings on the market. The result is an incredibly durable chainring that makes no compromises on weight. The Race Face Era is available with 30, 32, and 34 teeth, as well as two chainline options (52 mm and 55 mm). Era is compatible with Shimano 12-speed drivetrains as well as all modern 10-speed, 11-speed, and 12-speed drivetrains.
