The grip width adjustment mechanism allows for customization to accommodate various hand sizes and riding styles. Additionally, the brake area has been expanded for improved control. The new hydraulic brake caliper features a 10% wider pad spacing than the mechanical 105 model, resulting in less brake drag and consequently less noise. Furthermore, maintenance is simplified due to the bleeding process.
