Shimano GRX - Explore Beyond

Designed for rides on rough terrain, through gravel and mud, so you can comfortably and stress-free reach wherever you want to go while achieving that unique feeling of performance. The first component group developed by Shimano specifically for gravel riding. Instead of telling gravel riders what they need, Shimano's developers asked them what they wanted. Shimano listened for two years and spent countless hours talking with gravel enthusiasts from around the world. They rode on dusty and gravel roads and narrow tracks, crossed streams and mountain passes to get a sense of what a Shimano gravel group could look like.

The result of all these rides and new friendships? First, the Shimano Gravel Alliance, and now the Shimano GRX – the world's first series with components specifically designed for gravel. The goal is not to dominate the gravel scene or change its direction. Shimano didn't want to reinvent the wheel. The engineers at Shimano love gravel riding just as it is. Shimano simply wanted to give you and your friends the opportunity to ride the way you want with a new component group. And the GRX does exactly that.

Last but not least, the developers envisioned a Shimano GRX group that delivers top performance in gravel racing while also offering options that make it affordable for budget-conscious riders. By setting these design goals, Shimano has developed components that are also suitable for cyclocross, bike adventures, and nearly any similar type of cycling discipline. Simply put, the Shimano GRX is the best way in the world to move freely and explore new terrain on a gravel bike.
