2. Edelrid Nano Jul
The Nano Jul from Edelrid is the perfect companion for your next multi-pitch climb or big wall. Its lightweight design reduces your overall weight on the wall. The Nano Jul is particularly well-suited for belaying with half or twin ropes. You can secure one person on lead as well as two people on rappel. There is an extra loop for easy unlocking in rappel mode. Once you reach the summit, you can comfortably rappel down with the Nano Jul. The high braking force assists you in dynamic belaying should the lead climber fall.
3. Edelrid Mega Jul Belay Kit Bulletproof Screw
The Mega Jul from EDELRID is a highly versatile semi-automatic belay and rappel device, distinguished by its compact design, robustness, and lightweight. It is suitable for belaying lead climbers or top-rope climbers and automatically locks in this mode without any moving parts. Additionally, thanks to the extra attachment point, one or two second climbers can be secured from the belay station, also with automatic locking. The Mega Jul 2 also serves as a rappel device for single or double ropes. For this purpose, the Mega Jul 2 has been redesigned with an additional eyelet for easy unlocking of the device in the seconding mode using a carabiner. The very simple, clear construction ensures ease of use, and the manufacturing from stainless steel die-casting guarantees the necessary durability of this belay device. The Mega Jul Belay Kit Bulletproof Screw comes with a matching carabiner. The wire gate in the Bulletproof Screw secures the carabiner in the harness loop, preventing it from slipping. This keeps the Mega Jul in the optimal position and eliminates the risk of dangerous cross-loading of the carabiner. What sets this HMS carabiner apart is the use of stainless steel at the apex. This protects the heavily stressed area from premature wear due to rope abrasion. EDELRID has achieved the perfect balance between low weight and long lifespan. The screw lock of the Bulletproof is smooth and, combined with the Key-Lock closure, is very user-friendly. Ergonomically shaped hand ascender for comfortable climbing on the rope. The curved design increases comfort and reduces friction in the system. A large eyelet allows for the attachment of multiple carabiners, while a smaller eyelet positioned slightly higher is ideal for setting up a redirect. During ascent, the secondary hand can also comfortably grip the hand cruiser at the top.
