2. Celestron Inspire 70mm AZ

The Inspire telescopes are suitable for beginners who have somewhat higher demands - and are looking for intelligent detail solutions. The Inspire 70 is the lightest and most transportable telescope in this series. At the same time, it is packed with new ideas. The telescopes have fully coated glass lenses, a specially developed azimuthal mount with a unique, asymmetrical design, a robust steel tripod with integrated, retractable accessory shelf, an integrated, universal smartphone adapter for photography, a built-in Led torch, a large illuminated dot finder and an eyepiece focuser with micrometer to make it easier for you to find the focus point again, and deliver an upright image. The Inspire is easy to set up, even easier than other models in its class: simply unfold the tripod legs, tighten the accessory tray locking screw and place the telescope on the mount using the dovetail quick release. Just remove the protective caps and insert the eyepiece - and you are ready to observe. A smartphone holder is built into the dust cover. Simply attach your smartphone to the lid so that the camera looks through the hole and secure it with two elastic straps. On the inside of the lid is an adapter with two clamping screws to attach the lid to the eyepiece. Et voila. You can now easily take photographs through your telescope. The mount also houses a red Led torch. Switch it on and the accessory tray will be illuminated soft-red without disturbing your dark adaptation. The torch can also be easily removed so you have the light where you need it.

9. Celestron Ultima 100

The top model of the Ultima series with a 100 mm aperture collects twice as much light as the 80 mm scope and is particularly suitable for observations at dusk. Weighing 2 kg and measuring 48 cm in length, it is portable and can be used on a good tripod. A sighting scope makes it easier to locate observation targets, and with the zoom eyepiece, you can smoothly switch between 20x magnification (1.8° field of view) and 66x magnification (1° field of view) in seconds. With a close focus of 10.1 m, you can also observe relatively near objects, such as birds in your garden, while distant targets are not a problem either.

10. Celestron NexStar 6 SE SCT

It is the ideal compromise between portability. With this aperture, for example, globular clusters are already partially resolved, and under dark skies, galaxies and nebulae are clearly visible. Near urban areas, nebula filters such as the Baader Planetarium UHC-S or the OIII help to reduce city light pollution. The telescope features the standard 1.25" connection commonly used in astronomy, allowing for the use of all standard 1.25" eyepieces (fitting size: 31.7 mm). It is particularly convenient with the Baader Planetarium Q-Turret eyepiece revolver, which covers all sensible magnifications and allows for quick changes between different magnifications. The tube has the standard SC thread of large Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, enabling the attachment of a wide range of accessories. Through the optional Baader Planetarium 2"-SC Clicklock, 2" accessories can also be directly connected, allowing for the use of long focal length eyepieces with a larger field of view.
