I use this tandem hitch on a bike with 26" wheels, but I don't see any problem (rather advantages) with larger wheels. The tyre width of 2.10 should fit between them without any problems. Have a good ride!
If anything, I have found that not all children's bikes are equally suitable, depending on the shape and size of the frame and the position of the bars and crossbars.
