The Door/Window Sensor 7 is used to monitor the contact between two objects as well as changes to that contact. It consists of two sensor parts and is typically mounted on a door or window and the corresponding frame. When the door or window is opened or closed, a signal indicating that a change has occurred is sent to the connected Z-Wave gateway. Based on this signal, smart automation and security routines can be triggered.
