Product details
Every year, tens of thousands of cars end up in the water. This can be due to weather conditions, missing or defective crash barriers at the water's edge or car accidents. In 99% of these cars, the front end sinks under water first. Therefore, the back seat and boot are the last places where the occupants can breathe and provide a possible escape route. Fortunately, 70% of occupants who end up with their car in the water are able to free themselves under their own power.
Most occupants (especially children) cannot escape with a conventional safety hammer. Smashing a car windscreen with a safety hammer under water requires a great deal of force due to the resistance of the water.
Due to the panic that sets in when the car fills with water, many occupants use the safety hammer incorrectly. The children or weaker occupants are dependent on an adult occupant or the driver to escape from the car. In the worst case scenario, the occupants are seriously injured or unconscious. As a result, other occupants - e.g. children - are unable to free themselves from the vehicle under their own power.
The Maxxsafe is designed in such a way that all occupants (especially children) have the possibility to leave the vehicle under and above water. The Maxxsafe is attached to the rear window so that it is always in the right place when the car is in the water. It is always darker under water and it is more difficult to find a safety hammer, especially if the safety hammer is also under water. If the Maxxsafe comes into contact with water, a red LED light flashes.
The rear seat and the boot are the last places where the occupants can breathe and where they flee in panic. This is where they find the Maxxsafe. This increases the chances of all the occupants escaping from the car.
To smash a window, all you have to do is turn the Maxxsafe.
