This duct fan can be used for ventilation or air extraction, depending on the installation position in the duct. The housing is made of impact-resistant plastic and has a protection class II rating. The color is traffic white, similar to RAL 9016. Protection against accidental contact in accordance with DIN EN 13857 is required, for example, with a protective grille and airflow flap, which are available as accessories. The fan is speed controllable, with the exception of the ECA 15/2 E model. It features a robust motor with ball bearing that is maintenance-free and suitable for continuous operation, along with thermal overload protection. Due to the use of phase control technology, a physically induced humming noise may occur at lower speeds.
