The effect of the MarderCard is achieved through a carrier card that is attached in the engine compartment or in the garage/attic using stainless steel wire. This card is soaked with a special, intensely scented solution whose active ingredients are derived from spices and food. A marten reacts to this solution in such a way that it immediately leaves its shelter. Additionally, it prevents martens from re-nesting, along with the resulting consequences of territorial fights (bite damage).
