Hello, you charge the whole thing normally via a USB mini or micro (I'm no longer sure), i.e. you can also charge it at home with the charger from your mobile phone without any problems. It's super convenient, so far I've never needed it. :-)

The current GB70 model includes a USB-C charging port, unlike the older version you had. Official NOCO resources confirm micro-USB as the primary input, but recent product demonstrations show USB-C compatibility for faster charging options. For full confirmation, check the latest manual on no.co/gb70.

The device cannot be used to charge the car battery directly in order to avoid a discharged state. It is primarily designed as a jump-start booster to briefly start an already discharged 12V battery, but not as a charger for the vehicle battery itself. The device itself is charged via USB or a 12V input, but it does not actively charge the car battery, but only provides a strong starting impulse if the battery is already discharged. A separate battery charger is required for permanent charging of the car battery. To summarise: The device is used to jump-start a discharged battery, but does not replace a charger that continuously charges the battery to prevent discharge.

The device can be used as a power bank to charge USB devices such as smartphones or tablets. However, it is not specifically designed to charge the battery of an e-bike. The main function is to jump-start vehicle batteries with 12 V, and it provides USB output power for smaller devices, but not for e-bike batteries, which usually require special chargers.

The current version of the NOCO Genius Boost HD GB70 uses a micro-USB port for charging. There is no indication that it has been updated to use USB-C. The device can be charged via this micro-USB port or through a 12V fast charge port.

This is only possible via USB - which is perfectly adequate, as you can charge the battery in the car while driving or via a socket/charger. Disadvantage: Charging time takes a whole night, but the boost is sufficient for several times...

Any panel that can charge USB devices will work. But beware: Charging will definitely take a very (!) long time. There are probably much better solutions for this...

Hello, yes, the GB70 can also do this with ease. I have an Ioniq myself and have already used it for this. However, the GB70 is completely oversized for this. My tip: it's better to choose a smaller, handier and lighter booster for this purpose!

Noooo! That's not possible at all. This battery is very small, supplies a short, powerful current (hence the name booster) to start a diesel or petrol engine and then that's it. Even if the car battery is completely empty, it is no longer enough to turn the starter, even with this device.

The 500A starting current available at short notice is fully sufficient to start even larger engines. The smallest package. This is already given with the smallest package Noco GB20. The problem begins with longer trials, where the capacity of the battery comes into play. And that is where all the packages from this manufacturer are rather weak. I bought the Dino KRAFTPAKET quick-start system for my motorbike (1250cc) with a starting current of 300 A and a capacity of 18000 mAh and I am very satisfied.

I just checked mine, everything is still within the green range after 2-3 months of the last charge. However, my car is parked in a garage, where it is rarely below 5°.

I could not detect any significant discharge during storage. Therefore, it is probably not necessary to charge the booster constantly.

Yes. Definitely. Assuming that it is about starter batteries and the intended use as a starter booster, I would not worry at all.

The GB70 has a USB connection with 5 volts for mobile phones & co. It also has a 12Volt connection with cable and cigarette lighter socket. Depending on the model, notebooks need around 18 volts. And with a capacity of just under 5Ah in the booster, it would probably barely be enough to fully charge a notebook...
