A detailed instruction manual is included. This is a 1-phase tear-free soft start module. Single-phase tearless soft start modules provide a compact and simple method of reducing the problems associated with the starting shocks of single-phase induction motors with direct start.

Features and benefits include reduced cost of power transmission components, such as clutches, due to lower starting torque; lower maintenance costs due to controlled starting torque, which reduces belt slippage; and less fatigue due to torque spikes caused by direct on-line (DOL) and star-delta starting methods. Additionally, there is a reduction of starting current.
