Magnetic contact detectors are essential devices for perimeter protection. They are used to protect doors, windows, and other openings by triggering an alarm when they are opened. The K-2 detector is designed for flush mounting, meaning its components are pressed into suitably prepared holes in wooden or plastic door frames, window frames, etc. The K-2 consists of two watertight parts: the reed switch (magnetic) sensor and the magnet, whose faces should be in contact with each other. Moving one part away from the other breaks the sensor circuit, indicating a violation.

The K-2 is designed to work with any alarm control panel equipped with NC inputs and can also be used in automation systems as a control element.
