The luminaire consists of a powder-coated die-cast aluminium housing that is hinged and features a safety clip. The LED module(s) and electronic control gear (ECG) are mounted on tool-free removable support plates in the upper part of the housing. It includes cable entry with screw connection and strain relief, a disconnect plug connection, and a pressure equalisation system in the lower housing section. The flat safety glass is sealed with silicone, and there is a central lock made of aluminium.

Zhaga-compliant LED modules with highly efficient optics provide direct distribution using multi-layer technology. The ECG has high surge voltage resistance along with overload and short-circuit protection. A universal pole spigot made of die-cast aluminium is designed for pole spigot sizes 60/76 for pole-top or post-top mounting. Separate reduction accessories are required for pole spigot size 42.

Tilt adjustment options are available at 0°, 5°, 10°, and 15° for post-top mounting, and 0°, -5°, -10°, and -15° for surface mounting, with scaling on the luminaire housing. The luminaire is prepared for retrofitting components of a light management system with a Zhaga-compliant base connection. RFL luminaires from Schuch exclusively use D4i control gear. All D4i-Zhaga-Buch-18-certified controllers and sensors available on the market can be used in combination with RFL luminaires from Schuch. However, controllers and sensors that do not comply with the D4i standard may restrict the functionality of the luminaires and components, and such non-certified components may cause damage to both the luminaires and the components in certain cases.
