The SPAX-typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact surface of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to fit perfectly in the screw head. The optimal power transmission from the screwdriver to the screw through T-STAR plus enables quick work, significantly more efficiently than with any other drives.

The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) mills a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets") and can therefore be sunk without additional countersinking of the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface.

The fixing thread consists of a main thread that is inserted into the substructure and the underhead thread. This underhead thread ensures that the top board is securely held on the substructure under all weather conditions. The smooth shaft between the threaded sections absorbs the movements of the board. You will never have to re-screw wooden boards again because they come loose or creak too much!

The CUT tip of our SPAX screws allows for extremely fast and effective screwing of our wood screws without pre-drilling. The arrow-shaped CUT tip reduces splitting and tearing of the wood in combination with the wave profile. Furthermore, the CUT tip enables very precise and slip-resistant positioning of the screw tip even on smooth surfaces.
