1. Hifonics ZXE12S4 Car Subwoofer passive 600 W 4 Ω

Zeus ZXE Start-Up

At the heart of the HiFonics Zeus Evolution subwoofers are powerful Y35 magnets with a diameter of 140 mm, driving large 64 mm voice coils. These
are ventilated with thermally optimized pole core drillings. Additionally, so-called "bumped" T-plates (pole plates) provide an even longer excursion, reaching up to +/- 17 mm (X-Max). While budget subwoofers typically use pressed cones, the ZXE woofers feature expensive, hand-crafted paper cones that are double-stitched with the surrounds, known for their exceptional sound quality. All these components give the ZXE subs an extremely high efficiency of 92 and 90 dB at 2.83 volts/1 m, meaning that even with a small input, the bass can achieve high volumes. The Thiele-Small parameters are designed so that the ZXE woofers can be used to build powerful bass reflex enclosures with deep bass response, as well as medium-sized sealed enclosures. Free-air applications are also possible. Visually, the Zeus subs meet the HF style: a newly tooled gasket, the typical blue magnet boot from HiFonics, and the blue stitched surround cone seam proudly display the HiFonics brand insignia.

3. Hifonics ZXE10S4 Car Subwoofer passive 500 W 4 Ω

Zeus ZXE Start-Up

The heart of the HiFonics Zeus Evolution subwoofers is made up of powerful Y35 magnets with a diameter of 140 mm, driving large 64 mm voice coils.
These are ventilated with thermally optimized pole core drillings. Additionally, the so-called "bumped" T-plates (pole plates) allow for an even longer excursion, reaching up to +/- 17 mm (X-Max). While budget-friendly woofers typically use pressed cones, the ZXE woofers feature expensive, hand-crafted paper cones that are double-stitched with the surround, known for their exceptional sound quality. All these components give the ZXE subs an extremely high efficiency of 92 and 90 dB at 2.83 volts/1 m, meaning that high volumes can be achieved even with low input.

The Thiele-Small parameters are designed so that the ZXE woofers can be used to build powerful bass reflex enclosures with substantial depth, as well as medium-sized sealed enclosures. Free-air applications are also possible. Visually, the Zeus subs live up to the HF style: a newly tooled gasket, the characteristic blue magnet boot from HiFonics, and the blue-stitched surround cone seam proudly display the HiFonics brand insignia.

4. Hifonics MRW104 Car subwoofer passive 800W 4Ω

Mercury MRW Performance

The optimal application of the two Mercury subwoofers MRW104 and MRW84 can be found in the bass reflex or bandpass range. Since the woofers
require relatively small volumes, using multiple subwoofers is recommended. For example, an MRW84 in a 20-liter bass reflex enclosure already achieves an extremely low cutoff frequency (-3 dB) of 32 Hz. With minimal deep bass compromises, but significantly more dynamics and tight bass, these subs are also highly recommended for use in small sealed enclosures.

The quality of the Mercury subwoofers is exceptional: with perforated steel baskets in HiFonics design, they not only make a visual statement, but the selection of components used is also impressive. Crafted paper cones, durable rubber surrounds, and robust spiders are the key ingredients. Even the small MRW84 with a diameter of 20 cm features a generously sized 50 mm voice coil, just like its larger brother MRW104. Visually, both woofers impress with a chrome-plated basket and magnet boot, making them particularly striking even in inverted installations, such as in the Mercury boxes, where the basket is prominently displayed.

5. Hifonics Titanium
