Product details

Great help, small price! The water-cooled tractor F1M 414 from Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz was produced continuously from 1936 to 1951. Known as the "farmer's tractor" or "Eleven," it was widely recognized for being affordable at around 2,300 Reichsmarks, making it accessible for smaller farms and farmers. This allowed many farmers to mechanize their harvesting and work processes more easily. Initially, production began with a 1-cylinder diesel engine with 11 horsepower (displacement: 1100 cm³), a three-speed transmission, and water circulation cooling. The tractor, measuring 2.28 meters in length and 1.53 meters in width, had a weight of 1180 kg and could tow a maximum load of 8 tons – an impressive feat for such a small machine. The pulley for the drive belt allowed for the use of a variety of attachments, such as threshers, balers, hay and crop conveyors, large mills, field choppers, circular saws, log splitters, water pumps, and various workshop machines. This enabled even smaller agricultural operations to participate in the transformation of mechanization and labor-saving techniques for the first time. With the use of machinery, strenuous tasks could now be performed more efficiently and easily, requiring fewer human laborers, who were scarce during the war years. After the war, production resumed in 1946, and the F1M 414/46 tractor with a four-speed transmission was launched, increasing the top speed to 15 km/h. By 1950, the engine power could even be raised to 12 horsepower. In total, over 20,000 models were produced between 1936 and 1951 (10,340 units of the pre-war model and 8,990 of the post-war model).
