On September 4, 2019, the Taycan celebrated its premiere as the first production electric sports car from the Porsche brand simultaneously on three continents. The first models of the new series were the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo. At their debut, they were among the most powerful production models from the sports car manufacturer. From the very beginning, the Taycan models impressed with consistently sporty driving characteristics, short charging times thanks to 800-volt technology, and unrestricted everyday usability. So far, the electric sports car has received around 50 international awards, particularly in its main markets of Germany, the USA, the UK, and China.
