Gurgling rivers, rustling forests, waving wheat fields in the wind, and here and there a charming little village - this is the essence of Dorfromantik. The video game from the small developer studio Toukana Interactive has captivated the gaming community since its Early Access launch in March 2021 and has already won numerous prestigious awards. Now, Michael Palm and Lukas Zach are transforming the popular city-building strategy and puzzle game into a family game for young and old with Dorfromantik.

The board game allows up to six players to collaboratively place hexagonal tiles to create a beautiful landscape while fulfilling the tasks of the local population. At the same time, they aim to lay the longest railway track and river possible, taking into account the flags that earn points in completed areas. The better the players achieve this, the more points they can accumulate by the end of the game.

Throughout the replayable campaign, players can unlock new tiles with the points they earn, which are hidden in initially sealed boxes. These tiles offer players new, additional challenges and allow them to continually improve their high score.
