New for 2021: The PIKO model of the 181.2 Lorraine with sound showcases all the relevant details of its prototype and impresses with its finest painting and printing, raised nameplates on the sides, extra-mounted front handles and door handle rods, sharply engraved bogie covers, fine insulators, and pantographs with different sliding pieces. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The factory-installed driver's cab and machine room lighting, as well as the direction-dependent tail lights, can be digitally controlled. A powerful five-pole motor with two precisely balanced flywheels drives all four axles, ensuring excellent driving characteristics. The heavy PIKO model features two traction tires and a heavy zinc die-cast frame for high pulling power. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with matching vehicle sound and mfx functionality is installed as standard. Optional attachable brake hose replicas are included with the model.
