Tamiya presents the Opel Kadett GT/E on the MB-01 chassis. The GT/E was introduced in 1975 and represented the high-end version of the Kadett by Opel. The GT/E was a two-door coupe featuring a 1.9-liter engine and an upgraded suspension. Various teams used this vehicle in competitions in 1976, securing second place in the constructors' championship.

The Tamiya model 58729 is based on the 1:10 scale MB-01 M chassis. This chassis allows for flexible choices regarding both the drive type (front or rear motor) and the motor position (front, rear, low/high). Power is provided by a strong 540 electric motor, and the wheels feature independent suspension.

Required accessories: Remote control with receiver, steering servo, 7.2V NiMH battery pack, charger, paint for polycarbonate body (Tamiya PS-).
