Windumtoster Lone Wolf An absolute unique piece is the 56 765 of the DDR-Reichsbahn. It was created in June 1939 by converting the former Prussian G 8.1 (DRG 55 4131) by the DRG, to improve the running characteristics of the four-coupled locomotive with a leading Bissel truck and to increase the speed to 70 km/h. After World War II, it remained with the DR of the GDR and served in the 1960s at the Bw Heringsdorf on the island of Usedom in passenger and freight transport. There, it even received wind deflectors as an exception due to the partly strong winds from the sea. The inscription "Lok Brigade Fritz Reuter" indicates the special care of the locomotive by this brigade and pays tribute to the Low German writer and democrat Fritz Reuter, who lived in the 19th century.
