The elmex Junior toothpaste for children aged 6 to 12 years, featuring highly effective amine fluoride, has been specifically developed to protect against cavities. Amine fluoride instantly forms a protective layer and remineralizes the teeth to safeguard them from mineral loss. Why do the new permanent teeth require special protection? Bacteria convert sugars in our food into acids that attack tooth enamel. Cavities do not develop overnight; rather, they progress over a longer period. In the early stages, this process can still be halted and reversed. Particularly, the enamel of the new permanent teeth is not fully hardened after eruption, making it more susceptible to cavities.
