Is the top also removable and washable as the bottom? Or do I need some tools to remove it? Thank you in advance for answer. David

Yes, it's three parts, that you can take apart easily. Not quite sure if you can put the top in the dishwasher though.

How long does it take to filter the specified 1.4 litres of water? Do I have to fill the pot in the evening so that I can make a litre of tea in the morning?

I have never measured it, but after about 5 minutes you should have filtered a litre.

How much water can be freed from limescale with one cartridge?

In the description, it says that the filtered water capacity is 2.4 which is not true. The filtered water capacity is 1.4 l. I order this one thinking it's the bigger version and received the smallest Brita version, a disspapointment. You should change the description information.
