The Pixel Tablet: Google's worthy iPad opponent?
At the presentation of the Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch, Google also revealed a few more details about the Pixel Tablet, which is scheduled for release in 2023.
According to Google's own surveys, a tablet currently tends to gather dust in the desk drawer because people prefer to pull out the handier smartphone or the battery is constantly flat. Google wants to change that, from the stylish casing to the in-house heart: the Tensor G2 processor.
Ceramic coating, voice assistant and smarthome centre
The aluminium casing is said to have a ceramic coating, which should make the Pixel Tablet feel better than other devices - and Google also promises a classy look. Google has not yet revealed how big the tablet's display is, but it is supposed to be used to play the latest games, get through the next Netflix marathon without pausing for breath and also control the smarthome.
Google's own processor
The high performance is made possible by Google's new Tensor G2 processor, which is also in the Pixel 7. Google also focused on ease of use through AI at the presentation. Your tablet learns what you want from it via the voice assistant. This should enable the simplest operation at any time and anywhere. With or without voice control, you should also be able to control everything else in your smart home: lighting, heating and air conditioning.
