"Final Fantasy VII Rebirth" with release date and new gameplay trailer for "Spider-Man 2"
Third-party and VR games were at the centre of Sony's State of Play. And then new trailers of two upcoming hit games were shown.
Final Fantasy fans can mark 29 February 2024 on their calendars. That's when the second part of the "Final Fantasy VII" remake "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth" will be released. At the State of Play event, Sony also showed a new trailer for "Spider-Man 2", where you can look forward to lots of costumes.
"Final Fantasy VII Rebirth"
The three-minute announcement trailer features locations such as Nibelheim and the Golden Saucer. As in the original, various mini-games such as chocobo races or boxing await you in the latter.
You can also discover various enemies such as Bottomswell or the legendary Midgar Zolom. The party is joined by Yuffie Kisaragi, who already appeared in the "Final Fantasy VII Remake" DLC, Cait Sith and Vincent Valentine.
The sight of the buggy, climbing and flying chocobos and a first look at the weapons make my mouth water as a long-established fan. Of course, the trailer also includes the Nibelheim flashback, battle scenes and various incantations such as Odin. And then there's Zack Fair, who isn't dead in the remakes like he was in the original. What's the story with him? You'll probably only find out more when the game comes out at the end of February next year.

"Spider-Man 2"
You can squeeze into the virtual spandex suit as early as next month. That's when "Spider-Man 2" will be released. And it won't just be one suit: 65 different designs from comics and films as well as some original costumes will be included.
The new map is twice the size of the first game. You can progress faster with thread wings. There will be various side quests and activities to discover in the open world away from the main story. In addition to the well-known villains Venom and Kraven, Marvel villains who were not previously at home in the Spider-Man universe will also do the honours.
