How to send your winter clothes on a well-deserved summer break

In time for the summer holidays, here’s a list of things I always have with me when I’m on the road.
Whether I’m on a two-day trip or a two-week holiday – I always have a few must-have items with me. After testing countless products for Galaxus, a few have turned into trusted items that have greatly improved my comfort when travelling. Maybe they work for you, too?
1. Toothbrush with stamina
I’m too old for backpacking. That’s why I treat myself to something weightier than a manual toothbrush. My electric toothbrush of choice is from the brand Happybrush. I like it because of its powerful vibration and stamina. Even after using it for two years, the fully charged battery easily lasts for two weeks.

2. Lightweight laptop stand
When I’m on the move and have work to do, I’ve recently started packing a laptop stand. The NBS-200 from Intertech has several advantages in this regard: it’s very light at 240 grammes and foldable. You can adjust its height in seven steps. Its width is also adjustable, which makes it suitable for small and large laptops. I also like the little cloth bag for transportation.
Add to that a small-format Magic Keyboard, and you’ve got a reasonably ergonomic workstation almost anywhere. After all, there’s nothing worse than slumping over a screen for hours on end.
3. Smart dose of power
There’s always space in a suitcase or rucksack for the compact MagGo from Anker that’ll provide me with plenty of juice. The small power bank is a 2-in-1 device that charges both my mobile phone via the permanently attached USB-C cable and my Apple Watch with the built-in charging puck.
My enthusiasm is ongoing, several months after writing my review.
4. Mask for great sleep
Even tech enthusiasts in Silicon Valley have now understood the benefits of getting some good shuteye. Now that they’ve copped on to this, they’re busy tracking and tweaking their sleep. New miracle mattresses are said to help you fall asleep faster than you can pop an AI sleeping aid into your ear.
But you can also get a good night’s sleep with the help of a low-tech sleep mask. One that doesn’t let any light through but is still comfortable is from Dagsmejan. I love the Balance Blackout’s comfortable fabric and the fact that it’s kept its shape even after several washes.
By the way, Dagsmejan also make sleepwear. A pair of pyjamas from the Staycool collection is always in my luggage, especially when I’m heading to warmer climates (here's my review).
5. Weapon against mosquitoes
Speaking of warmer climates. Mosquitoes usually like it there too. I keep those whining pests at bay with this device.
This gadget from Thermacell is shaped like a can of coke and roughly the same size. It’s so reliable against mozzies that I even bring it along when me and the family go out for a pizza al fresco. While the other guests keep slapping their legs and faces, we’re more relaxed at the table thanks to the protective zone created by means of fragrance and chemicals.
