The CAT-8.1 system allows for high data rates of up to 40 GBit/s without the need to switch to fiber optics. Combined with installation cables and RJ45 connectors of the CAT-8.1 standard, the patch cable can be integrated into a high-quality high-speed data line. The 10-meter LAN cable supports 25GBase-T and 40GBase-T Ethernet networks and is backward compatible with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T. With a transmission bandwidth of up to 2,000 MHz, this Ethernet cable has four times the bandwidth of CAT-6A cables. It features S/FTP overall shielding: aluminum foil shielding for individual twisted pairs and aluminum braid shielding for the cable jacket. Equipped with RJ45 connectors 8P8C with 50 μm gold-plated contact surfaces and latch protection on both ends, the CAT-8 LAN cable is suitable for Power over Ethernet PoE, PoE+, UPoE, 4PPoE, and HDBaseT. The low-smoke and halogen-free LSZH cable jacket provides additional safety.
