This filter uses a newly developed high-transparency film that allows more visible light to pass through while filtering the same amount of polarized light. The HOYA HRT circular polarizing filter lets up to 25% more light through the polarizing film, providing the photographer with about 1/3 of a stop more light than a standard circular polarizing filter. This new polarizing film is also used in the latest HD LCD televisions.
