The Huawei MediaPad M2 is of good parentage. Bonus points are the casing, speakers and battery life. In terms of performance and screen technology, the premium contender cannot quite hold a candle to its Samsung and Apple rivals. It is disappointing that Android Nougat was not yet available via over-the-air update at the time of our test. But that is still to come.

Because of its great sound, brilliant display and good performance, we recommend the Media Pad especially for film and music fans.

In the shrinking field of 10-inch tablets, the Huawei device is an inconspicuous alternative in a positive sense that does a good job. The high-quality MediaPad M2 does its job as a media tablet; the equipment is completely sufficient for most applications.
